Some Dragons

Have been away from the scope for a while but was lucky enough to be able to buy a Skywatcher Esprit 100 during the down time, mostly for these shots of NGC6188 which include NGC6165/6164. Always happy to receive any advice or criticisms.

Scope: Skywatcher Esprit 100 (first light with the ASI1600MM-Pro)
Mount: Skywatcher EQ6-R
Camera: ZWO ASI1600MM-Pro with Astrodon 5nm Ha, 3nm OIII and 3nm SII
Processing: PixInsight
Ha 60x180s, [OIII] 79x180s, [SII] 92x180s

Nice work Ben. I like both of them but prefer the 2nd a bit more.

Greg.

Cheers Paul. I've imaged this with the Newt and gotten a bit more resolution and detail on the Rim so with the Esprit I have been looking more at the overall effect (colour and bigger forms). Means I've missed a few details here and there I think, but do like the less aggressive feel overall. The HOO is perhaps a bit more 'fighty' in regard to the dragons.

Cheers. I've put both images online and its been fascinating to see that overwhelmingly people prefer the HOO. I also like the SHO colour more but the processing of that has certainly been a lot trickier for me.
