I'm still new at this but do have a bit of a background in normal photography.
This is a lot different and much more rewarding; I think.
This is the Galaxy NGC 2442, Also Known as the "Meat Hook" Galaxy.
I haven't seen many examples of this online but really liked the look of it so decided to give it a try.
This galaxy is about 50 million light years away in the constellation Volans. Also in this image is the small Elliptical Galaxy NGC 2434 in the top left.
This was almost 3 hours of integration time (155*65secs) unguided.
I don't have a lot of equipment yet but this is so much fun I will be getting better stuff (IMX571 camera on order)
