I use Eclipse fluid. Comes in a kit with wiping sticks and replaceable swabs as well as fluid.

A hurrican blower bulb is handy first to get rid of any grit/ loose dust.

I use the AstroPhysics kit. Expensive, but works, always. I did tests on my Atik 4000 yesterday that showed significant motes, despite the cover platen looking clean. Did a quick clean, and now the test images (neutral grey background and bright white background) show no motes.

I imported the kit, as I don't think anyone locally stocks it. Greg's mention of Eclipse fluid is right as well - works also very well.

I found also using the blue windex mixed with technical acetone and ethanol (40% EtOH, 40% windex, 20% C3H6O) works just as well.
