2 Panel Mosaic of Lagoon Nebula

I am still trying to master my 200mm f5 newtonian. The subs for this image were taken without a coma corrector with my 4/3rd sensor qhy163M. (I have recently adjusted the backfocus for my GSO coma corrector and have collimated my newtonian which was out a little bit -hopefully the next images I post will have nice round stars)
I used Ha, and Oiii 300s subs and processed the mosaic in photoshop.
Cheers Kanga

Very nicely done, Peter. The delicate, lighter palette is a good change from the usual colours I see.

I can't wait to see what it looks like when you have the coma sorted out.

Cheers,
V

Very nice colour and composition. Bit of a stacking error it looks like in the top right?

Thats a good effort Peter, but I think you should spend a bit more time in PS to do your image justice, the background is pretty high. The attached tweak is subjective of course

I think alot of errors were happening. I will take some more deep sky images hopefully with my recent collimation of the newt and revised backspacing on the coma corrector I should eliminate most problems.

I actually prefer the darker background that you have given - however I don't reckon the overall quality of the subs justifies me spending too much time in post processing - I will spend more time when I get some ok subs from getting my newt rig working well.
Cheers Kanga.

Nice image of the Lagoon
Just a tad more Saturation would make it pop even more
It’s not easy to resolve coma
Some correctors just don’t cut it , no matter what spacers you use
Hopefully you will resolve it soon
Well done

Martin
