Comet Pan Starrs against Canary Islands skies

Hello!

I love your forum, though I´ve never posted here before.

I´m beginning in cometary photography, and would like to share with you 2 shots of Pan Starrs I captured this week from the top mountain of Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain). Both were single shots with Canon 450D (unmodified) at primary focus on an SW Equinox 80mm semiapo refractor.

I hope you like them.

Best regards from Spain!

Thanks a lot for your hot welcome and comments!

Iceman: I think yours may be about the most funny and surprising answer I´ve seen up to now in forums hahaha... really 6 years? Oh my God!

I´m glad you liked them. I ve always thought that, the results obtained can be sometimes better and others worse but, what is always nice is sharing them with other people. In this field in which one has to dedicate so much time and efforts to take the car to a remote site, align, fight mechanical or optical issues, etc... in the end, one wants to feel part of something.

Clear skies!

Love the first shot. A great bluish background, it really sets off the comet.

Greg.
