Lemmon on its way through the cross

I was all prepared for a long night last night but the cloud forced a stop to proceedings and allowed me to get to bed earlyish.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
I've just bought the camera adapter for the 'scope and this was my second night out with it.

Celestron 9.25 CPC.
102 frames @ 20 seconds each, ISO 12800 with a Canon 600D at prime focus.
3 dark frames taken before the sequence and 3 after.
Video created with Startrails using the jpg files.

I'm quite impressed with how well Startrails processes the files. My 600D on ISO 12800 is really noisy but the output isn't bad if you don't look too closely.

Fantastic John. I'd love to try one of these. What focal length is your scope?

You may want to add some stabilization in post. If you're not sure how I'd be happy to do it for you. Send me a PM if interested.

Thanks too to Liz, Graeme, Rolf and Colin for the comments.

Colin, the scope is a Celestron 235mm aperture, 2350mm FL f/10.
I've sent you a PM.

Here's the same sequence but I've added some stabilisation this time using VirtualDub with the Deshaker plugin.
Thanks to colinmlegg for the tips on doing this.
