Goodbye C/2024 G3

An unplanned trip to NE Victoria on Tuesday 28th gave me the opportunity to shoot this comet from darker skies. The only problem was, I didn't have my normal camera gear with me. I took this one with a Samsung Galaxy A52 mobile phone placed on a fence post with a small rock to support the phone during the 10sec exposure. The comet is fading now, without a nucleus and Venus to the right steals the show, so this will probably be my last effort for this comet.

Thanks Skysurfer, I guess you had to do a headstand to work that one out!

Thanks Bob, phones do an OK job but lack the sharpness of a dedicated digital camera and good lens. Though I would have got a really nice shot with a camera and tripod, I should be happy that my phone camera was able to get something at least! Yeah, I saw your phone shot, I used a self-timer on the phone too but didn't touch the phone until after the exposure had finished! You got a great result with your camera..
