help me choose my next eyepiece (long way off yet)

well, after a rather successful firstlight weekend on my new scope, i've decided that a few more eyepieces are in order. my thought process so far is a 2x barlow and an 8mm or maybe an 8mm-25mm zoom ep, and possibly a 32mm for nice widefield. that would give me a fairly large range of magnification that i can use with my ED80.

also, with polar aligning, i found that it was taking too long to watch through the 20mm eyepiece at stars drifting to do a drift align, so would using a higher power ep help me in doing the alignment? if so, what ep would be best suited? ideally, an illuminated ep would be best, but without going there...

help me, loyal astronomers!
