Bahtinov grabber opinions

I've been trying out this little program over the last couple of weeks. I get the feeling that the results can be in consistent. Sometimes you can run it and have it say critical focus isn't achieved and then do it again (without changing focus) and have say it's ok. On at least on occasion, the pattern that looked symmetrical to my eyes wasn't acceptable and the altered one it said was ok looked a bit off to my eyes. Has anyone used it consistently and can say it's definitely better than simple eyeballing?

Use Al's focus aid with a Bahtinov mask for perfect focus, a link should be on this site.

Thanks Allan. Looks good so I'll give it a go. I'd still like feedback from anyone who's used Bahtinov Grabber.

I've been using Bahtinov Grabber with Maxim and my Moonlite DC focuser. I was using its autofocus routine, but found that all the calibration and mucking around was slower than making the focuser adjustments manually, so just used it to give feedback on the critical focus zone. Never noticed an inconsistency, though.
