Sky Commander DSC

Help! I have been trying to attach my new Sky Commander DSC to my Celestron Starhopper Dob but because of it's design, the altitude encoder won't fit. I visited the Argo Navis website and saw they have a bracket to attach their encoders to this type of scope. Does anyone have any ideas of where to get/make something like this?

Hopefully some one else will chime in soon.

Good luck

Michael.

Thanks Michael. I have managed to construct a bracket to fit the encoder and it works well.

Dob Mod for Sky Commander

These are the modifications I have made to my Celestron Starhopper dob to enable the Sky Commander XP4 encoders to fit. Because I have had to change the height the tube sits at, the balance point has changed and I have had to add extra weight to the back of the tube. I used ankle weights purchased from a sports store and attached with velcro..
