Hi all,
Ok here it is, the dreaded mug shot I can hear the sounds of hard drives shutting down in self preservation across Australia.
This was taken about a year ago building at the deep sky site whoops I meant the farm and I've lost 20 kilos since then, amazing what diabetes can do for you if your positive and my lovely wife keeps an eye on me (help I'm starving to death LOL).
I'm still saving for the Harley (mental note - must stop buying telescopes).

Enjoy

Jazzodict, that isn't what you wear when you're out observing is it?

Quite frankly YES I am jealous.
My secret girly vice ( and those who know me know that I'm not a girly girl )is collecting fabrics from over the world. My favourites are from Peru, Japan, Africa, Bali, India, Thailand and the Middle East. I have a hand sewn dress in my collection dating back to the 1920's with lots of fancy work on it, and a square of mid 1800's dress fabric that I had framed to save from further deterioration. At them moment there is a 1960's fabric revival and lengths of original material from that era is fetching very good prices.
But don't get me started on the subject because I can be a bit of a bore. LOLOLOL

Hi jjjnettie,

I've only ever worn the gear once ... during my daughter's wedding last year. We travelled to India & did it the traditional way .. was great fun & got to meet a lot of old school/college mates & relos after almost 25 years!! However, its no fun wearing heavy silk fabrics during peak Indian summer (was April/May).

Not a bad costume to wear at a star party to liven up things ... eh!

Cheers.

What an experience for your daughter! Did she enjoy it?

You could have nicked the fan off your dob and wired it to the underside of your outfit just to keep the air moving. LOL

Hi Everyone,

here I am with my 10" F4 newt and mounted on it as a guide scope is my Orion ED 80 mm.

Of course, as I didn't want to ruin my night vision, I didn't use the flash and I didn't want to sit around in the cold not moving for a 30 minute exposure, so you can't actually see very much...
