Imaging Planets - How to connect ASI to SCT

Hi All,

Its been a long time since I have attempted to image planets. Hopefully tonight I get a chance to image Jupiter.

I'm going to be using my C8 SCT and ASI462 camera with firecapture.

When connecting the ASI642 to the C8, do it just screw on the 1 1/4 visual back to the SCT and insert the camera with its 1 1/4 noses? or do I have to go through the process of setting the back focus by using adaptors to get the 105mm distance?

Cheers
Wayne

Wayne,
the 105mm backfocus only applies to the situation when using a reducer.
Otherwise just use the adaptors you have to fit the camera to the scope.
