NEVER BEEN USED Vixen R130Sf+PortaMount+Argo Navis with encoders FINAL PRICE DROP

(EDITED FOR FINAL PRICE DROP)

I am selling my NEVER BEEN USED (I bought it new and never used it for reasons explained below, so it is essentially new) Vixen R130Sf (130 mm Newtonian reflector with Parabolic mirror) with Vixen Altazimuth Porta Mount (plus an extra brand new NPL 30 eyepiece and Japanese case for the OTA), plus a NEVER BEEN USED Argo Navis digital telescope computer (http://www.wildcard-innovations.com.au/) with the PortaMount encoder package and all accessories described below. Total weight is 4.0 kg for the OTA and 5.5 kg for the Porta Mount for a grab and go weight of 9.5 kg.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
PRICE:

FOR EVERYTHING: $949

ARGO NAVIS PACKAGE SEPARATELY: $599
(Includes Argo Navis Digital Telescope Computer plus CDROM plus 4 x AA batteries, Porta Mount Bundled Special Kit [with encoders for Porta Mount], Serial Cable, USB Serial Adapter, External DC Power Cable - ALL BEEN NEVER USED) (Note: will not sell the computer separate from the PortaMount encoder package)

VIXEN R130Sf + PORTA MOUNT PACKAGE SEPARATELY: $399
(Includes Vixen R130Sf with 6.3 mm and 20 mm eyepieces and all accessories plus Porta Mount plus Vixen NPL 30 extra eyepiece plus OTA case bought from Japan - ALL NEVER BEEN USED)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

I bought this equipment new and have the original invoices. This would suit someone looking for new equipment (at a massive discount!) as everything has never been used so it is essentially new.

The story behind this is that soon after I bought this setup I moved to the UK, then moved back to Melbourne but then moved interstate and now I am back in Melbourne I will likely be returning to Europe next year. I finally set everything up now I am back in Melbourne, and have now realised that even though this is a great grab and go I need to get something even smaller given all the international travelling I am doing. You will see from my posting history I have been describing this situation in the past, mentioning the unused R130Sf and asking for advice about a smaller telescope. The time has come to finally make the switch.

For those that don't know, the R130Sf is by all accounts a remarkable telescope, and is currently one of Astronomy Magazine's 2014 Star Products. Ed Ting himself reviewed one on scopereviews and said:

"I have to confess - I had low expectations for the optics. I've been a little suspicious of mass-produced fast Newtonians recently, as the various 6" f/4, 8" f/4 OTAs I've seen have been OK, but not great optically. How would such an inexpensive f/5 reflector work out? I got a pleasant surprise. The optics are...really nice." (Ed Ting, 2/1/14) (http://www.scopereviews.com/page1ai.html#2)

"I sold the ED80 after buying this one and seeing how much brighter it was
The R130 kills the ed80 as a visual scope." (Starkler, 13-06-2006, 07:15 PM (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ead.php?t=9484))

"...This is a much better scope than any of the popular well-known automatic 8 Newtonians, and would be a bargain at twice the price...." (Dr. Gordon L. Hirshhorn
· 3 years ago) (http://www.optcorp.com/vx-39954-r130...bv-reviews-tab)

"The Vixen 260A R130ST telescope has amazing optics. I've been in astronomy for 40yrs. This scope blew me away when I first looked thru it." (cheryl a reedy on June 6, 2013)(http://www.amazon.com/Vixen-2604-R13.../dp/B001KW07Q4)

"To be honest, this an incredible telescope, and I have owned everything from Celestron, Meade, Bausch and Lomb, iOptron, the list goes on and on. This thing gave such sharp views with richly detailed background star field, I was amazed. It is the EASIEST telescope I have ever collimated." (JJ on June 18, 2014)(http://www.amazon.com/Vixen-2604-R13.../dp/B001KW07Q4)

Local pickup only from Collingwood (Melbourne) for the R130Sf+PortaMount, but will ship the Argo Navis package if it is bought separately as I still have the boxes for it.
