I few shots I took in Barcaldine when we were broken down with a gearbox failure...


From this at least I learned to overexpose a stop or two when the underside of the bird is in shade against a bright sky.

Very nice Al. I will be entering a shot which is almost a silhouette, and
will therefor not rate highly. Having been a pro photographer I was well aware that it would be way under exposed, but as I only had a point and shoot
camera, there wasn't much I could do about it.

gotta love them pelicans pretty gracefull in flight but when it comes to take of and landing they need a new steering wheel lol

A couple of shots taken in Venice a few years ago, one from St Mark's square and the other overlooking the lagoon.

all local to WA
lot of time and patience staring thro a view finder to get some of these
the one of the 2 pelicans landing looks like there gonna crash into the terns lol
