My favourite Monkey NGC2467

Some APP HOO1 and HOO2 this week plus a little off beat RGBHOO.

About 30x5 min exposures in Ha and 25x5 in Oiii plus 5x1 each of RGB.

Uncooled ASI1600 on an f5 Newt.

Only another five hours and to go.

Looking forward to seeing the end result. Do you have a favoured palette here. Probably one of the first 2 for me. I must give this target a go as well... never tried. Also called Skull and Crossbones is that right?

Thanks Martin. I tried this with f6 refractor but I can get a little closer this way.

Thanks . I will keep on going slowly. I need to ditch half the subs I think.

Yep the skull and crossbones. The palettes are just the APP formulas. I would not mind trying to add more blue to the yellow in the HOO2 by tweaking the formula

The snoopy nebula. Nice going Ray. It is quite faint if I recall.

Thanks Marc.

Yes fairly faint magnitude 7. . NGC 2467. Aka the terminator or the Mandrill , (like a baboon ) , kind of like Snoopy.

In the OSC without filters I could not see much Nebulosity at all. With oiii and ha there is more of the different colours and different stellar forming areas and varied distance objects making up the field.

I don’t know if the small diffraction spikes mean my collimation is poor.
