Which guide cable to use?

I have two different cables for guide cameras.

The cream one came with my QHY and the grey came with the QHY5LII.

They are both wired differently and I want to get a shorter version of the cream one.

Cream (left to right clip facing me): White, Black, Red, Green, Yellow, Blue.
Grey (left to right clip facing me): Yellow, Blue, Red, Green, Black, Orange.

Is there a difference?

Cheers,
Stefan.

Stephen,
The colors are not as important as ensuring each end looks exactly the same.
An effective ST-4 guide cable has a direct pin arrangement.

As Ken said the colours of the strands are irrelevant. The ST4 port on the mount is industry standard, but the camera end not necessarily so.
My Lodestar camera has a a different connector on the camera than the RJ-12 socket on my QHY camera.

As both your cables are from QHY I would assume each cable is identical.
