Moon & Saturn 9.8.22

I wasn't going to post this image, thinking that I would produce something under better conditions around opposition time but the weather has put an end to that opportunity. So this was taken on the 9th under average seeing and some high thin cloud as well. ASI224MC with a 5X Powermte using an 8 inch Newtonian. At least the moon gave me something to focus on, I took a short grab of it while it was in the frame.

Nice images Michael. Unfortunately the weather has not been kind of late and as you say opposition is over for us Melbournians. It's always worth having a go though.

Thanks Clare and Peter, despite this ongoing bad weather you guys have managed to capture some great shots between the clouds. Well done to you and that 6 inch scope is a cracker!

Thanks Russell, I think there may be too much weather at the moment but I know what you mean.
