NGC3372 - Carina Nebula with L-Enhance

So I had a good friend relay to me that I can actually pull out a narrowband image with my colour CCD.

So I got some images of Carinea I took at the start of the year and presto !!

Through pixinsight I used the Synth Green method and deleted the blue channel with the channel extraction tool. Then creating the Synth Green channel through pixel Math..... Then just the usual suspects after RGB integration... starnet++, Noise reduction, Curves transformation and a spot of PS to finish it off.

Beautiful detail but you let the core blow out a bit. Great wide field!

Thanks Nik! Yeah the Carinea Neb is super bright.... I'll try and combat the light levels with shorter subs maybe.

Very striking image, Paul, I'm liking the core actually & think its very representative of its brightness, Also like that billowing plume on the left.

Exactly my thoughts Bob.. I spent a bit of time on processing an came out with a few versions but this one really stood out and I'm still amazed that this is only 1 hour of data. Ha funny you say that I just printed it out last week
