lol! I wish I had a backup on the day. Far out!

How much space are you setting aside for gear in your... well... gear?

At this point, I'd almost be tempted to say go with the 17-40 and 70-200. Both pretty lightweight.

For the 41-69mm range, you can just take a few steps back with the 70-200.

Not a bad suggestion, H.

And I suppose I could also pack the 50 f/1.4...given that it's pretty small and light. That way, I'd at least have something in that 41-69mm range.

But then, that's only leaving one lens at home....and possibly the best of all of them!

The other option is an 11-16 Tokina and a Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 for a walkabout lens?

The Tamron gets pretty good reviews and comes highly recommended as a good, all-purpose lightweight 'travel' lens.

My suggestion.

Take the wide zoom and the long zoom. I found that in China having the option for both focal lengths made the difference. Sometimes you might want to get a bit closer to your subject and having the long focal length helps. Taking the wide is obvious.

So...I just loaded my camera bag up with all the gear and it clocks in at 5kg.

That's camera body and 4 lenses, a few filters, batteries and various other bits and pieces.

That gets to be a right pain in the shoulder/neck after a full day lugging it around.
