IC 2944 Running Chicken under Full Moon South Coast NSW

Snagged a clear stable Saturday night on the South Coast and captured IC 2944 under a full moon
Best guiding numbers since I commissioned my NexDome back in March April ( 0.65 arc sec total )
Used the L Extreme filter due to a full moon lit night

NexDome Obs
8” f5 GSO Bintel newt
Skywatcher EQ6-R pro mount
Imaging Camera ZWOASI2600MC set in Ascom to Highest Dynamic Range cooled to -10C
L Extreme OSC NB filter
45 x 3minute dithered guided subs
Goto and Tracking EQMOD and Ascom Stellarium
Framed focused and captured in APT
PHD2 Multistar guiding
Subs reviewed in ASTAP
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools V1.7 OSC linear data set

Due to my rigs FOV I can only frame the chickens body which has a majority of the detail anyway including Thackerays Globules

Synthetic Luminance version
RGB colour version

Comments welcome
Thanks

Hi Martin,
Nice image. Did you use the Bintel (GSO) coma corrector with you 8in f5 newtonian? Or do you find the field acceptable at the corners with an aps-c sensor without a corrector?
Cheers Kanga

Nice. The chicken is just out of range enough from the moon. I was not so lucky with the Cat's Paw however. Is this 7nm? Lovely colours and detail! Well done.

Thanks Paul
I try to pick targets well away from a full moon even using the L Extreme
First and last quarter no problem getting a bit closer
L Extreme is 7nm Ha and 7nm Oiii

Thanks Kanga
I use a Baader MPCC Mk3 CC on both my newts , nothing else works as good to eliminate coma right to the corners
Had to add a 1mm spacer to my camera adapter to get it perfect
Couldn’t image without it
Baader are quality optics

Greg,
Thanks mate
Seeing is hit and miss down here like anywhere between the coast and the ranges
You take advantage of the good nights
Saturday night was a 9 out of 10
Cheers
Martin

Thanks for your comment
Pretty happy with my set up now especially having the NexDome, took me 12 months from initial design to final commissioning
Money well spent
Cheers
