Damian Peach's Jupiter image is impressive but then I wouldn't expect anything less. The guy is a master of planetary imaging and can tease the smallest of detail.

Not sure of who else may have made the cut, as the full shortlist is not revealed prior to the awards night....though I was surprised not to see Martin Pugh or Steve Mohr in the press release.

It's nice to be in the mix again

Thanks for posting that, Peter.

There are some astounding images in there - and a huge congratulations on making the short-list.

But Kudos also to Terry Robinson (ASV?) for his superb galaxy image (I'd be challenged to get a similar result due my urban imaging location)

Outstanding images across the board. I'll be picking up a copy of the book whenever it's out.

geez, that REALLY pops, a fantastic pic to be sure, but no PW type subtle processing there . This is a deliberate "crowd-pleaser" effort and it worked!. Very well done indeed

Congratulations to Gerald Rhemann for picking up this year's Royal Greenwich APOTY. Gerald has been churning out cracking images for some time, and his win is well deserved.
