Sharpcap Sensor Analysis and QHY600M

Hi

Just got my new toy (QHY600M), sorry about the heavy rains for the next 40 days everyone

I'm now attempting the sharpcap sensor analysis phase.

How long should this take? I've seen some people say 8 minutes and other people hours.

What causes this range in time and what is a normal duration?

PS - any suggestions for Gain and Offset using the brand new mode of operation for narrowband dso imaging?

TIA

Barry

Can take hours for ccd's because of their slow download time, but cmos should take less than an hour maybe more like 30m

Yeah that's probably about right, unless you have a dimmable flat panel to get the exposures as short as possible without being too short, it could be tricky to speed up a 60mp camera.
