Problem accessing Minor Planet Centre website

My Win 11 Desktop PC has suddenly stopped being able to access the Minor Planet Centre website sometime in the last week. I have tried 4 Browsers, cleared Cookies etc.

After running CCleaner and ipconfig release and renew commands on my Win 11 desktop PC (I also have Norton’s) the problem still exists, the ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT message.

I then tried my Win 10 Notebook (without Norton’s) on the same network and again, received the same ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT message.

However, I can access the MPC website on my iPhone on the 5G Network so I assume that Optus Broadband is the cause of the problem.

I can access other regular sites such as NASA, Spaceweather, Harvard Smithsonian, GSFC, Horizons, etc. it’s just the MPC for some reason – weird.

Would someone who is on Optus NBN test this for me to see if this is an Optus issue or something weird with my connection.

https://minorplanetcenter.net

Thanks again.

Dennis.

EDIT:
I just connected the (failing) Win 11 Desktop PC to my iPhone via hotspot and was able to access the MPC so it looks like the fault lies with the Optus Broadband NBN connection.

I have raised a Support Ticket at the MPC via my iPhone and I have also raised a Help Desk Ticket with Optus.

Let's hope we get a fix soon.

Cheers

Dennis.

Someone has managed to find some fresh Dilithium Crystals for the Warp Drive, so all is good now and I can access the MPC again from Australia.

Thank you to the back-room folks for this fix.

Dennis.
