Antique! ST10XME

I have an ancient SBIG ST-10XME for sale.

It has been superseded by many cameras since I bought it for spectroscopy over 10 years ago. It is not CMOS. It does not have a big chip. It is not shiny and new. But..

If you are after a small chip CCD camera with good QE at a very affordable price, this is for you.

It also has a CFW and tracking chip. No filters unfortunately but it does have its own power pack and comes with a very well padded Pelican case.

I'm open to sensible offers. I can't find any of these available on Astromart so I can't say what the current value is. From memory I paid several grand for it - I have no expectations of recovering my investment.

Collect in Sydney or I can ship it within Australia at the buyer's cost.

Pic to follow.

Pete

Sorry to hijack your post, but you do yourself disfavor in describing this cam as "Ancient" and "superseded". Specifically for NB imaging anyway, Ha (656nm) is arguably the most important specification for a cam. The ST10XME has a QE of 85% at Ha. No CMOS camera (even back lit at less than $100k) comes close. With accurate darks and long enough exposures to overcome read noise, it leaves CMOS in the dust.
