Sho Prawn

Showing the effects of too short exposure and camera in landscape rather than portrait. SHO with an hour each and a little RGB for colour in the stars with an 8inch f5 Newt.

I can stop seeing the dark eyed face at 4oclock.

Great work Ray. Isn't it hard when you see something like your face and how it stays that way.
I really like your colours.

Thanks. I have added another hour of each but although the HA is really strong the image does not have the improvement I imagined. Time to cull some frames I think

Thanks.

The Hubble pallet is the base with 3min subs. Requires more processing time really.

Ray this is cheating but try the dodge and burn tool in either photo shop or Gimp and I bet you find that little something you expected...it is frowned upon I think but used conservatively it does wonders in my humble opinion.

The same can be done with selective masking and star masking and is not cheating but standard photo technique in PS or LR. A lot of extra time though so may as well cut straight to star removal and replacement. Just takes more software.

Yes I wondered why mask approach is ok but dodge and burn frowned upon..or at least that is my impression..I like the dodge and burn because it is so easy.
