M20 - add the blue

Last season I dusted off my ED 80 Pro and this was its first light in 10 years! HEQ5 Pro F7.5 600mm Focal Length of the M20 Trifid Nebula with L Extreme and L pro stars. 130 x 240 sec + 20 x 240 sec. I used a non powered Astro Tech Flattener (no reducer) with ASI 533 MC Pro. I added to it this season with 15 x 240 sec native (IR block only) to bring out the blue. this is belt moded also.

Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop.

Excellent work, Paul! Love the fainter Ha regions you've picked up as well. Beautiful star colour, all boxes ticked!

Thanks Adam! I found this target needed a lot of Ha and non filtered RGB to tease out all those different regions.

A very nice image Paul. You’ve picked up some fine nebula and background detail too.

Lovely image. Yeah there’s a bit of everything in m20 and you’ve done well to combine all that data. Lovely colour and detail. Well done!

Thanks David. I think you could add more and more data on this target and even pick up some more of the dust lanes.
