With a very discouraging forecast we were surprised to see any sun at all this morning. So we started imaging even though there was high cloud, expecting that this would be as good as we would get. Even more surprising the cloud actually cleared momentarily so we took a second full disk image just before 1pm.
In the time between the two full disk images there was still high cloud but we took two close up images of the active regions AR 3040, 3042 and new region 3045.
