not much of advise or tips from me as I am a beginner too and my interest doesn't even extend to shooting planets but I do like what aI see here, nice job!
Excellent first images, impressive. About the only tip I could provide is selecting a smaller ROI to reduce the black sky around the planets, unless of course you want a wider field to capture the moons as well. This will allow for a faster frame rate capture and helps to freeze the seeing and reduces the total file size, so saving space .
Thanks Jeff, the ROI was actually even bigger for that image. I cropped it for posting. I wanted to capture the moons, I could see them much better with the gain cranked right up, when framing. I have a lot of avis with a much tighter ROI which I will process.
My Videos got extended out to 2m, while sharp cap recorded the buffered frames. Should I split these videos into smaller chunks? I think it’s max 45s for Saturn and 30s for Jupiter. But ive seen posters on cloudy using 3-4m. Not sure the steps for that.
