CMOS Sensor Life

I have had an ASI120MC for about four or five years now. This year I struggled to get any decent plantary images. I used it as a guide cam last night and it was super noisy and PhD kept loosing the guide star.

Does anyone have any info on the longevity of these sensors? I was half thinking about getting a new camera early next year anyhow. But let me know your experiences.
