myths about ‘seven sisters’

Astronomers say global myths about ‘seven sisters’ stars may reach back 100,000 years.

Interesting similarity between Greek and Aboriginal lore and others.

I found it an interesting read that could explain "the missing seventh sister"

Cheers

Interesting theory about the origins of the legends, myths, stories, whatever you may call them. I had noted that similar stories about the Pleiades are common to many cultures around the world, including our local indigenous inhabitants who were supposedly isolated from the rest of the world for 10s' of thousands of years, though it does seem that there was some contact between tribes in northern Australia and inhabitants of what is now Indonesia Could the stories about the Seven Sisters have been passed along via that connection ?
