AR2818 & friends

Howdy, thought I would throw my 2 cents worth in for today.

Here are 2 images a week apart: 21st April AR2818 moving across from the East, then the 28th April with AR2818 and close friends AR2820 & AR2821 moving towards the West.

Nice prom to NE and a link to a 20minute animation of what was to be an hour cut short by cloud.

Thanks for looking

Peter - It is useful to see how that AR has changed. Well done. Cheers John W.

You're cooking with Gas. Superb details That would look grand printed on an alu plate.

I like your heat insulation wrappers too. I have something similar for my scope for dew and it works well. H0ughy calls it the coke bottle. Not sure why.

Thank you John, this is why I love Solar imaging and wonder why I didn't appreciate it years ago. The changes even in short periods of time are just amazing.

Thanks Marc,
Now there's a thought, printed on plate.. may wait for a big AR that will no doubt happen in next year or so.
The insulation wrappers are windscreen shades...white on the outside just to keep the direct heat off the camera and pressure tuner.
The coke bottle? come on H0ughy do tell! On mine more like a wrapped kebab!
