st 4000 xcm, self guiding, colour camera. Asking price: $1100
Purchasing the AO8 (excluding the camera) from the USA including GST and shipping would be in excess of $1200au. US$795 See below image.
a fantastic combination that produce high quality astro images (see attached).
The ao8 will improve imaging by reducing the affects of atmospheric turbulence,vibrations, periodic errors and even a slightly miss-aligned scope.
This is the perfect set up.
Together with the matching SBIG st 4000 xcm single shot, color camera it takes the drama out of producing quality images. The camera has the two ccd chips, one for guiding and the other for imaging. This removes the need to have a second scope and camera for guiding and flexure errors.
I have imaged 30 minute single full colour exposures with this combination via my celestron hd edge 11and the original cgem series mount.
There is loads of technical spec data available on line for these items.
The equipment is well protected in the original sbig padded, solid carry case. Comes complete with 12v and 110v-240v power supplies, all cables, manuals.
