Full Moon Planets

With Jupiter just past opposition, some clear conditions on Saturday gave me the opportunity to take these after the footy had finished on TV ( what a game it was too! ). Seeing started off pretty average while shooting Saturn but picked up a bit when shooting Jupiter.

8 inch Newtonian taken with a ZWO120MMs through Meade LRGB filters.

Thanks Russell, I was pretty happy with the results I got after post processing because the video streams looked a bit average.

Thanks Dennis, my aim was to achieve a true colour version of the two, I tend to over saturate my shots to make them more attractive but this time I checked my colours against true colour examples taken by Cassini spacecraft and other NASA spacecraft.

Thanks Marc, glad you liked them, love your IR shots. I might give my 720nm IR filter a go with the little ASI 120 and see what I can get.

I have an old 120MM but I couldn't get the frame rate with the IR filter. Barely 30fps with the gain to the max but that's the older model USB2.0. If you have the newer one it's probably a lot faster. That's why I got the 462MC at the time. All I have to worry now is disk space.
