19th August, 7.50am.

Two new, medium spots have appeared in the center of the solar disc. (Region 2858). It looks remarkably like Region 2857 once looked. Region 2857 has now petered out.

20th August, 2021, 8.30am.

Region 2858 appears as two medium spots with my solar projection. One is rather defuse.

SDO image actually shows the 'defuse' spot as 2 smaller spots.

August 25th, 7.30am. A new region has appeared (2860) and has two diffuse looking, medium-sized spots.

Just the one large spot seems to be surviving in Region 2859.

27th August, 9.10am.

It looks impressive today.

Region 2860 is dominated by two large spots and has many smaller spots.
Region 2859 has now several smaller spots accompanying the one larger spot.

28th august, 7.45am. An impressive day for sunspots.

Region 2860 has 6 decent-sized spots today, as well as some smaller ones.

In contrast, Region 2859 has again shrunk to just the one spot.

September 1st, 8.20am.

Region 2860 is close to the Western Limb and appears as 1 large and 3 medium sized spots.

The clouds have been terrible here and I was lucky to briefly see the Sun this morning.

Thanks Bob!
Yeah, after days and days of clouds and high winds, the skies cleared to a light milky background. Enough to tune the MiniSHG.

September 4th, 9.30am.

New Region 2864 has burst into view. Unfortunately, I could only see the Sun through clouds today and only saw 1 medium-sized Spot.

Region 2863 has one large Spot.

The current SDO image shows that both these Regions have more Spots.

Solar Image Sept 5th

September 5th, photo 8.00am.

New Regions on the edge as well. I thought an image through my Vixen 80mm ED and Cannon M50 was called for today.

Thanks for the compliment Ken.

I'm looking forward to trying this area
of observation and imaging.

And of course..its pouring now !

Thems the breaks...

The weather down this way has been pretty
extreme of late.

I take every opportunity I can get.

A quick second process.

Again..thanks.

Paul.

Today saw much activity.

Conditions improved greatly overnight.

I experimented with a few filters.

This image is with a UV filter.

Prism diagonal reduced FOV slightly.

No cropping.

Paul.

Bob has computer issues

Bob says it is a great day for Sun Spots, however, he has asked me to advise that he has computer problems and will not be able to post for several days.

Cheers

Paul,

I liked your images. I am surprised that your little 60mm achro did so well.
