full optical alignment on LX200GPS 10"

hi all I bought this scope second hand its 15 years old and it had been apart, the mirrors have been damaged due an attempt to clean them. I have disassembled the unit marking everything and sent the mirrors to be re coated. I would like to do the optical alignment from scratch as I really have no idea what has been done previously. I cant find any information for this procedure. mead were prepared to sell me a new mirror set for $1800, when I asked how do I align them I got no response. I'm also assuming that the with the new coatings the the specs of the mirrors will be slightly different anyway.
Cheers Michael

FWIW I read that the factory uses a test star, pairs up corrector plates with mirror sets and adds shims to adjust the plate so its best to try to do similarly.

Also look at Als Collimating circles and the thread by Houghy(mod) on the OCAL device video on SCT.
