EOI Original Ross(?) Astrographic lens

....Expression of Interest.....

Before I start to pull this out of it's long term storage....
I have a 4", I think, Ross lens/ OTA which formed an Astrograph, imaging on 1/4 (or 1/2?) sized glass plates......
From memory the image field was very good over at least the 3" aperture I think I was using for testing.
The OTA is heavy (!!) and about 400mm long.
If there's any interest in this image, I'll pull it out of storage and confirm all the details. There are some plate holders which came with the set-up.
Let me know.

- Could be converted to work with large chip CCD camera?

OK, I retrieved the lens from storage, it's actually a Cooke lens.
In the distant past the exterior of the housing tube was repainted Meade Blue.

Cooke Telephoto Anastigmat, No. 258904, 20" fl, f5,6.
It's also marked: AM No. 14A/1000, Patent # 198958 Made by Taylor-Hobson England.
Optics are clean, scratch free and the iris fully functional.
The aperture adjuster on the housing goes from 5.6/8/11

The housing is 160mm diameter and 340mm long, marked
"Cone 20 inch Ref. No. 14A/999
Serial No 977
W.M.Co Ltd"
With the A(crown)M logo

EDIT: Found the original Patent!

Doing a search on Google for similar lens - not many in similar excellent condition, but prices range from $250 to >$1000.

In reply to members request....
The lens fits the housing and the "rear cell" only needs a plate fitted and a 2" focuser to allow visual or imaging...Simples!
A fully corrected, four element 20"fl f5.6 astrograph.....
Any other questions just let me know.
