This is the face on barred spiral galaxy NGC 4535 and the edge on lenticular galaxy NGC 4526, both part of the Virgo cluster which contains about 1500 galaxies in total. I'm continuing to enjoy the ASI2600MC, perhaps a little bit oversampled for the 254mm CF Sidereal Newtonian, but a great camera regardless. A larger image and acquisition details are on Astrobin at https://www.astrobin.com/tilr31/?nc=user.
Just had a look at the hi res.
You would have to very happy with the result.
Well done
Thanks Peter,
Yes I am happy with the image. NGC 4535 is a pretty little barred spiral. I'd love to see it at a longer focal length. In fact I've seen some great detail in NGC 4526 in ESO images. I wonder if that detail is possible in a long focal length SCT or RC... Any takers?
