Home Security Camera IR affect

Hey Guys,

I'm sure this question has been asked many times, but I have searched and can find an answer

I have 2 Consumer grade security cameras in my backyard facing the area where I setup my mount. Most times my scope is pointing in the direction of a least one of these cameras.

Does the night IR on these cameras affect my visual and or when doing astrophotography?

Currently I'm placing a towel over the cameras, but if it doesn't affect my shots I would prefer to have them uncovered so I can monitor my mount from my inside my home.

Cheers
Wayne

Easiest test is take a long exposure with it covered....take the same length exposure uncovered and compare.

You'll soon work out if the IR is impacting it
