Leon,
IIS member Andrew (astro_south) just said to me, "just saw the pic of Leon on IIS - is there a certain "Ballarat" look that you guys have".
Those that know me, know exactly what Andrew means!!!
Leon must be my long lost brother!!!!!!!

Hi there
I loved Paris and cant wait to go back - we only had a three day stay - just enough time to get in some sights and then it was back to the UK.
Going back in August/September 2007

Actually, well, I'm very biased but I didn't like Paris. I'm very much into art and culture but I hate tourists and I was there during the summer so.... Granted aspects of it were amazing but overall it was just too tainded by the mood and streets covered in feces. That might sound snide, but I really don't mean it to be, it really detracted from the experience, made me realise how we Australians take it for granted...
After Paris, we went to Bordeaux and I loved it. May have had something to do with the fact that the Wine Festival was on too

Surprised myself by joining this forum while I think about building another scope again. Like IIS, it looks nice by the way.
Here's a mugshot of me, waiting for the clouds to lift, and for the curious here's an odd little telescope I made long ago. Those puzzled by all the reflections (count them - it's no ordinary Newtonian !) can read more about it here

Hi John,
Glad you like the fridge,I have had it for several years now.
When I was working (self employed) I found the cost of a couple of beers a night just too expensive for what I was earning, especially when my wife likes a drink also.
just 4 twist tops a night each, means over 2 cartons a week,I donk know how much that is now,but it was at least $50.00 several years ago.
My beer is fermented twice, put in a 23 litre Stainless steel Ex coke keg,and gassed up.
Provides about 80 standard middy's, crystal clear beer, with no sediment whatsoever, for around $15.00
All the best.
Regards.
John
