Hi folks I've been a member of ice in space for a while now but I only read the posts. This is the first time I,ve written anything in it. However this time I want to picked the brains of the most experienced astronomers out there. I'm looking to purchase some acreage to set up an observatory for some astrophotography work. What I'd like to know is where I should by in Victoria that would have the most number of clear nights in a year. And if possible different areas in decending order of clear nights.
k so here is a few seriously bad pics of moi.
I dont have any Rembrandt or Renoir self portraits, but I just quickly dug these up using the Picasa 'Mug shot Finder' feature.
I have not fixed the pics so they are as they came out of the camera....some pretty bad......

Just letting you know why you haven't recieved any answers to your question about where to buy land.
You put your post in the wrong section. This section you posted it in is for photos of members and isn't read very often.
You need to start a thread in the 'General Chat' section HERE
In 'General Chat' just click on 'New Thread' near the top and title your thread as a question: Ideal dark site in Victoria?
That way you will get replies

And one showing my journey to drunken oblivion at my daughter's 21st , My family will never allow me to say another speech while I've been drinking- they couldn't stop me talking. I even broke my shoe while doing it (don't remember how ).
