More off the beaten path

So, I was hoping for a good night of imaging from home last night. However, the clouds had other ideas.

I managed to get a couple of images.
NGC 3918 - The Blue Planetary in Centaurus. It always looks featureless to my eye through a telescope, but the camera reveals more.

IC 4406 - An interesting one in Lupus. The retina nebula.

Hi Richard
Both look promising. What scope and exposure did you use?

Hi Geoff,

I used my 12 inch Dob on an equatorial platform. The blue was taken as an avi and the other using livestack. I know they are not eye catching images but it is fun to image PNs as they vary in morphology and you can use some planetary processing knowledge to tease out detail.

Regards,

Richard.
