AR2822 11th May 9amish

First light yesterday with the new Lunt 80mm. Some tweaking to do but having fun. Ooops just realised I used my B1200 for this not the B1800 as noted

Peter,
For a single stack image it’s pretty good.
I’m sure as your experience develops, so will your results!
Well done.

Great First light Image Peter. Do you have a preference to Sharpcap over Firecapture?

Only because I have several friends who use it and I can pick their brain! I may yet move to Firecapture but I am still in the early learning phase of Solar imaging.
Thanks you for the encouraging words, really appreciated.

A nice introductory Ha image with this 80mm scope Peter. Looking forward to seeing your progress with this setup.

Thanks Ken, I'm sure there is a lot more to pull out of this 80mm... and many more years of learning but having fun. I can't figure why more are not into this Solar imaging it is so dynamic minute by minute, absolutely an adrenalin rush.

Beats the pants off bothering to take images of the same old same old that hasn't changed in millions of years. One M42 and all that improves over time is technique so take a 2nd and be done with it! It's still same old same old. Ah well, I guess it's an old boys thing, suppose it might even win them a toaster.

That's awesome. All your shots have really fine details and a depth to it as well. Good stuff.
