IDAS or CLS?

Folks,

Anyone bought an IDAS light pollution filter here in Aus? Or is it an overseas order?

I have an Astronomik CLS-CCD that I use with my mono camera, but looking for something that I can add to my OSC 183.

Any thoughts/comparisons?

Cheers,
Dunk

I bought two several years ago for my DSLR cameras. I read all filters like this shift colour bands - but IDAS has the smallest and most predictable shifts - making colour fidelity a lot easier to achieve. On DSLRs they allowed me to double the maximum duration of my shots - before pixel well got saturated. So very happy with them!

I have not seen any Australian distributors. I recently purchased an IDAS NBX directly from Astro Hutech - was pretty straightforward.

Thanks folks, I’ve been experimenting with a Baader UHC-S that I had from visual days but it seems to separate the blues from reds.

The NBX looks pretty interesting
