Interesting video.
The best Merlin engined Spitfire was the Mk8 with the merlin66.
We have one flying here in Australia.

I wish I could get over to the UK to see the exhibition "Spitfire: Evolution of an Icon" - but sadly, it only runs until 22 February. 12 Spitfires of various marks under one roof!

Here you are, Ken. You could have your very own restored, operable Spitfire - replete with Merlin 66 engine - for a tad under $9 million.

Back in the early 1990s I met a guy from Evergreen, US who said he could find me a Spitty “with a pole up its ass” for 1 million GBP, or one ready to fly for just under 2 million GBP.
I declined the offer and went on to design 30 variants of the Merlin engined Spitfire for Flight Simulator. Now I can fly a MkIX or a MkIIIV as much as I like in the comfort of my own home.
Magic.

Which Mk number did you mean Ken? as far as I am aware there is no such number in Roman numerals as 111V.

There's a "low-mileage" flying Mk IX going for about 4.5 million quid, if you're interested:
