Astromycology

https://harvardsciencereview.com/201...ngal-frontier/

An interesting article on the subject of astromycology.

I had heard that fungi can deal with or adapt to radiation, so I've wondered if there's a place for them to provide some some of radiation protection/absorption on spacecraft.

I suspect the human carrying spacecraft that undertake lengthy journeys (interplanetary, etc), will have to have a much better understanding and control of their fungal passengers.
