QHY12, Opticstar 616C X or SXVR series: Which is best?

I'm tossed as to which CCD camera to get to use with my C14 fastar at F1.9. I want to image DS objects, in particular nebulae.

Has anyone used (or is currently using) one of these cameras and what was or is, your impressions of them?

While some of them are 16-bit others are 12-bit. What's the difference? What would I notice?

Can any of these cameras be used with an ASCOm driver with The SkyX?

Any help greatly appreciated.

James

Hi I have an OpticStar 616c - can tell you a little about it if you like - PM me. You can see some of my images on the Opticstar site:

Pixels are a little small for my scope but binning 2x2 can fix that (drivers support colour binning which is unusual). For your application with the fastar pixel size will be fine but the camera body might be too large. Also note although there is TEC on the camera it is not regulated.
