[SOLD] Vintage Meade 8" SCT Tube Balance Weight System

This was removed from an '80's era Meade model 2080 8" SCT OTA. Comes with one 1.3kg weight only.

A modern Losmandy vixen narrow style dovetail (model VSCT13) slotted straight into the same OTA bolt holes without modification, so I dare say this'd fit most Meade 8" SCT's. It certainly fits my 8" LX90 (LNT model). It might fit Celestron 8" SCT's.

Comes with a pair of mounting bolts, both safety screws and the weight locking thumbscrew. The rail is practically unmarked. The weight has some blemishes, but is in overall good condition.

Dimensions of rail:
Base 349mm x 19mm, and has a radius curve to fit the OTA.
Mounting bolt hole centres can accommodate 317mm to 327mm width spacing.
Overall height is 19mm
Weighs 110grams

Dimension of weight:
54mm diameter, length 76mm
Weighs in at a smidge under 1.3kg

I am interested. But, have a question, do you know if it would fit a new 8" LX90?

If it is OK, I would like to collect it from Hampton one evening next week, too busy this weekend, unfortunately. Tues,Wed or Thur.

I would bring my scope along and check that it fits and pay cash on the spot.
