ETX125 still good?

Hi All,

I still have my ETX125 after all these years. Is it still a worthy scope?
Replaced a few parts, but it's still like new. I'm no expert by any means.

Just wondering where to go from here if I wanted to upgrade?

Yes, great scope and sharp optics.
I keep mine as it's also handy as a backup scope. I used mine for the Venus transit of the sun a few years ago and it was fantastic. My other scope was in for repair.

You can use all kinds of cameras on it, has flip mirror and wedge built into it's mount.

I went from one to a lx200gps Meade and for me, a great update.

It depends on what you want to do to as which scope to move on to.

Keep it and buy another.

Cheers,
Damien

Thanks for that.... yeah I will definitely keep it. I've barely used it over the years and have stored it safely, but am starting to get back into it now that my son is really keen (who is now 12, perfect age for this stuff).

I will keep an eye out for one of those GPS scope though as I'm quite interested in them.
