HowTo: Home Made Observing Table

Hey guys.

Ian Ogilvie (stringscope) has kindly written a fantastic how-to guide for building a home-made observing table.

It's a great looking piece of kit, really makes me want to build one of my own!

You can read it all, and see the pics, here:

Home Made Observing Table

Thanks very much to Ian for contributing the guide! More content for the website is great! If anyone else would like to contribute a how-to article, please contact me.

Here's a pic as a preview for the article:

Mike,That looks too good to use.
I used to use an ironing board. Converted it to suit, with light holder, angled/rotating tray to hold the Herald-Bobroff etc.
Now, I just use the back of the station wagon, like a few others.

I think I will have a go at one of these. The idea of just grabbing this, the chair and scope for a session is very appealing

I want one so bad, doubt though my building skills are that good though which someone sold one. If anybody does know a shop where they sell these things, or would like to sell one themselves please write on this post and let me know, so like that could arrange something

Regards
Sebastien.
