Just about any cover of a Bob Dylan song is better than the original
Here's one of my favorites by Jimi. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_J2WdcW0ZY4

My two faves (that I know of. I'm not very good when it comes to who-did-what-first):
Marylin Manson's "Sweet Dreams"
&
Sinead O'connor's "Nothing Compares to You" (originally by Prince)

I always thought Linda Ronstadt would have been great doing this number

But then again I love his voice so much I could listen to him singing the White Pages.

Here's a cover of The Angels (Angel City in the Us) classic Face the Day by US band Great White, jazzed up a little and at the same time quite a bit heavier but does the original justice none the less, read the lyrics and take a listen, sometimes I just cant get this song out of my head.
